Kamons are the symbols of your family, blood, and hierarchy that are used up to this day. They put those symbols on Katana (sword), flags, kimono, etc. According to Wiki, there are 241 kinds of Kamon in Japan. This kamon is called Karahana (hana means flower). Originally, the pattern was imported from China (Kara era). It became popular fabric pattern in Japan and used as kamon later.
