Mom's Lucky Kimono
In Japanese culture, we believe there are "unlucky" years (ages). Special kimonos are made to bring good luck in these years; they would worn to the shrine for a special ceremony to keep evil spirits away at the unlucky ages. This is the first kimono my grandma bought for my mother. This is a special kimono for my mom since it is one of the only gifts given to her by her mom (my grandma). This bow ties is double layered with the gray silk fabric from the collar portion of my Mom's Lucky Kimono. Only ONE available.
